Pet Supplies
Pet supplies is a broad ranging term, and deservedly so. The leash and collar you use to walk your dog are supplies. So is the crate you put it in when you have to travel with your pet. And that silly Halloween outfit you bought… and the food that your pet eats. If your pet requires a tank or cage, that’s a supply too. The list can go on and on.
The fact that pet supplies is such a broad term is precisely why it ranks so high. Someone looking for just about anything pet related has a reasonably high chance of their query being listed under pet supplies. So that is what they search. This is great for the search engines, for people advertising for the term, and other things in the technology industry.
What it is not so great for is for the average person looking for information regarding any specific sub sets of pet supplies. The broadness of the term can then make the research process into a daunting affair that many would simply rather avoid. This is a shame, because when a pet owner doesn’t do their homework, they aren’t the one that suffers, their pet is. So if you are looking for pet supplies, do your pet a favor and make sure you know what you are looking for.
